Designing contemporary landscapes understood as complex palimpsests.

From urban renewals of public spaces to historical parks exhibition’s , Taktyk combines a body of design and reflective works that promote three forms of heritage : Cultural, social and environnemental.

A contribution ? Our modes of engagement rely on a combined approach that connects bottom up and top down principles.  
- Being tactic in setting up a corpus of appropriate actions adapted to the social, economical and spatial specifics of each site.
- Being strategic in understanding the need to orchestrate the landscape and urban transformations in long-term vision.
Taktyk contributes to organise playful working sessions clients, inhabitants, local ressources, politic and economic forces to manage a clear understanding in the making of a common narrative that bring together heritage and dynamics of transformation. How landscape can deal with urban mutations ? In what form ?


Des renouvellements urbains d'espaces publics aux expositions de parcs historiques, Taktyk combine un ensemble d'œuvres de conception et de réflexion qui valorisent trois formes de patrimoine : culturel, social et environnemental.

- Être tactique dans la mise en place d'un corpus d'actions appropriées adaptées aux spécificités sociales, économiques et spatiales de chaque site.
- Être stratégique dans la compréhension de la nécessité d'orchestrer les transformations paysagères et urbaines dans une vision à long terme. 
Taktyk contribue à organiser des séances de travail ludiques clients, habitants, ressources locales, forces politiques et économiques pour parvenir à une compréhension claire dans la fabrication d'un récit commun qui associe patrimoine et dynamiques de transformation. Comment le paysage peut-il faire face aux mutations urbaines ? Sous quelle forme ?

Methods
We recognise a model of engagement focusing on three main lines of action :
1 / Surveying : study and identification of prints and traces that can become the structural components for sites transformations : living ecosystems, cultural and architectural heritage.
2 / Promoting existing uses and landscapes ressources
3 / Definition of an action plan to guide and orchestrate a process of transformation that must be abble to preserve and promote different forms of heritage.

Making ?
We defines three modes of engagement :
- To facilitate : In the contexts of social housing districts and post industrial sites, Taktyk activates a process of spatial and social transformations. Taktyk performs in the Intermediate level to construct performatives surfaces, spaces for playful uses and social relations. « The intermediate scale in landscape is at 4 and 6 metres …There is probably a level where uses mix, where fluctuation exists…This intermediate scale must have its own vocabulary, which may differ from that of the upper level » ( extracts from PHD PENFORNIS / Playful tactics)
- To make visible : The exhibition Designed landscape at CIVA aims to dissemate to a large public the history and heritage of the urban parks of Brussels 

Méthode
Nous reconnaissons un modèle d'engagement s'articulant autour de trois grands axes d'action :
1/ Recensement : étude et identification des empreintes et traces pouvant devenir les éléments structurants des transformations des sites : écosystèmes vivants, patrimoine culturel et architectural.
2/ Valoriser les usages existants et les ressources paysagères
3/ Définition d'un plan d'action pour orienter et orchestrer un processus de transformation qui doit pouvoir préserver et valoriser les différentes formes de patrimoine.

Fabrique ?
Nous définissons trois modes d'engagement :
- Faciliter : Dans les contextes de quartiers d'habitat social et de sites post-industriels, Taktyk active un processus de transformations spatiales et sociales. Taktyk se produit au niveau Intermédiaire pour construire des surfaces performatives, des espaces pour des usages ludiques et des relations sociales. « L'échelle intermédiaire en paysage est à 4 et 6 mètres… Il y a probablement un niveau où les usages se mélangent, où la fluctuation existe… Cette échelle intermédiaire doit avoir son propre vocabulaire, qui peut différer de celui du niveau supérieur » ( extraits de PHD PENFORNIS / Tactiques ludiques)
- Rendre visible : L'exposition Paysage conçue au CIVA vise à diffuser auprès d'un large public l'histoire et le patrimoine des parcs urbains de Bruxelles 

Recovering landscapes : In Metz (France), Taktyk develops a geographical reflexion on a large territory to reconnect landscape and ecological corridors between a river valley, a agricultural plateau and wooded hills . The transformation of a logistical aera of 350 ha will be used as a lever for recovering a living and shared landscape.
Spatial Interventions:
- Workshops with the inhabitants to make physical objects and actions on site: furnitures, playgrounds and temporary gardens

Reconquérir des paysages : A Metz (France), Taktyk développe une réflexion géographique sur un vaste territoire pour reconnecter les corridors paysagers et écologiques entre une vallée fluviale, un plateau agricole et des collines boisées . La transformation d'un espace logistique de 350 ha servira de levier pour reconquérir un paysage vivant et partagé.
Interventions spatiales :
- Ateliers avec les habitants pour fabriquer des objets physiques et des actions sur place : mobiliers, aires de jeux et jardins éphémères"
