TOWARD LIVING LANDSCAPES

We live and act in a particular momentum, acknowledging multiple socio ecological crisis. We seek to develop tactics that strengthen fragile landscapes co co-constructing living landscapes. Our projects take place in the European context and in the tropics. We are dealing with heritage sites, derelict voids, vast post-industrial sites, coastlines calling for regeneration. .

SKILLS

From Rotterdam to Barcelona, from Paris, Brussels to Zurich, the structure of the practice has, since 2006, been envisaged as an evolving entity, adaptive and responsive to those heterogeneous and complex challenges. How? The practice acts as a conductor, curator, and mediator of transformation processes.
To do so tacit knowledge of gardening, bricolage and painting, are used.

VERS DES PAYSAGES VIVANTS

Nous vivons et agissons dans un moment particulier, dans le contexte d’ une crise éco-sociologique multiple.. Nous cherchons à développer des tactiques qui renforcent les paysages fragiles afin de co-construire des paysages vivants. Nos projets se développent dans le contexte européen et sous les régimes tropicaux . Il s'agit de sites patrimoniaux, de vides abandonnés, de vastes sites post-industriels et de littoraux à régénérer.

COMPÉTENCES

De Rotterdam à Barcelone, de Paris à Bruxelles et maintenant Zurich, la structure du cabinet est, depuis 2006, envisagée comme une entité évolutive, adaptative et réactive. La pratique agit en tant que chef d'orchestre, curateur et médiateur de processus de transformation complexes.

Co-founder Dr. Sébastien PENFORNIS
is an architect and urban designer in charge of taktyk Paris office. He also teaches at the ENSAB, Rennes. His practice based research explored the notion of play and serendipity through the landscape design processes and transformations.

Sébastien PENFORNIS est architecte et urbaniste en charge du bureau taktyk Paris. Il enseigne également à l'ENSAB de Rennes. Ses recherches basées sur la pratique ont exploré la notion de jeu et de sérendipité à travers les processus et les transformations de la conception du paysage.

Partner Dr. Thania SAKELLARIOU
holds state qualifications in architecture and urban planning, complemented by a specialization in landscape architecture. She leads design studios at the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles and at ENSAB Rennes. Her research-driven practice melds rigorous constructive detailing with theoretical inquiry, deploying interventions from micro-scale insertions to comprehensive landscape strategies.

Dr. Thania SAKELLARIOU est architecte DE et urbaniste avec une spécialisation en paysage. Elle enseigne également en atelier projet à l’École de Versailles et a l'ENSAB de Rennes. Son travail allie rigueur constructive et recherche, de la micro-intervention aux stratégies paysagères.

Co-founder Dr.Thierry KANDJEE

His practice combines critical gardening & design, editorial projects (Landscape Architecture Europe 2012), and studio teaching (ENSP Versailles, Rmit Melbourne, ULB Brussels, NUS Singapore). Since 2025, he has been developing Taktyk Tropics, a critical practice that strives for a decolonial approach to landscape.

Dr.Thierry KANDJEE est paysagiste concepteur, co fondateur de la plateforme taktyk. Sa pratique entremêle jardinage critique, projet de maitrise d’œuvre, projet éditorial (landscape architecture Europe 2012) et enseignement du projet de paysage (ENSP Versailles, Rmit Melbourne, ULB Bruxelles, NUS Singapour). Il développe depuis 2025 Taktyk tropics, pratique critique qui tend vers une approche décoloniale du paysage.

Partner Simon AUPERPIN
is an architect, painter and designer. His work focuses on the adaptation and reappropriation of territories as a carrier of cultural, social and ecological transitions.

Simon AUPERPIN est architecte, peintre et dessinateur. Son travail porte sur l'adaptation et les réappropriations des territoires comme porteur de transitions culturelles, sociales et écologiques.
